This Year's Model Updates:

To celebrate 20 years of building minivans, Dodge will offer an Anniversary Edition package for the Grand Caravan with such features as chrome wheels, two-tone leather upholstery, embroidered floor mats and an in-dash CD/DVD changer paired with a rear entertainment system. Additionally, the company has simplified the trim level structure this year, so that buyers need only choose a base SE, a midlevel EX or a top-of-the-line SXT. The Grand Caravan also gets a tire-pressure monitor, upgraded audio systems and a new integrated key/remote.

Pros:
  • Excellent ride and handling characteristics, good low-end pull from 3.8-liter V6, roomy cabin, comfortable seats.
Cons:
  • No fold-flat third-row seat, unimpressive reliability history, subpar frontal offset crash test score, low resale value.

I drive all over Montana in all types of weather. I have never been let down by my Caravan. I never thought I would drive much less purchase a mini-van. This is a rock solid investment. Whomever says you have to be desperate to own a mini-van has never driven a Dodge Caravan.

Being in my early thirties and mother of twins I was not keen on purchasing a minivan, even though the need was there. When I went to the dealership, I could not believe the look, reliability and comfort of the 2004 Minivan that the purchase was made. Today Im glad I did and the so do the kids. With the drop down dvd and 6disc changer they love their time in the car and so does mom.

I will never buy another Dodge product ever. The brakes needed to be replaced after 8000 miles. The transmission is stiff and jerky. The fit is poor and the dealership service is abysmal.

  • Solid - Great Value - 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan

Compared Many makes and models and kept coming back to the Dodge Grand Caravan. After having a Ford Windstar - since 96 - I did not want to go the Ford Route again. The creature comforts are many on the Dodge and the ride is excellent. The only option we did not get was the leather interior & DVD. The 6 CD in dash puts out great sound and the Sun Roof will be a nice feature when the weather get warmer. Dealer was discounting heavily and the Rebates made it a bargain compared to the other mini-vans. We ended up almost 8 thousand under sticker!

  • Why change if its selling "Sport Model" - 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan
    By -

I have owned 4 Grand Caravans 2 of which were Sport. I loved the sport model because it had a stiffer suspension and 16" tires, nicer interior. I ended up buying a Sport 2003 because you are not making this model for 2004. The fact I had to go all over because most models did not have rear AC amazed me. In Florida, you are promoting a family vehicle without AC in the back where the children are? Who was thinking when they designed that option???? I love my Dodge van, when I turned in my last car and bought the Sport 2003 in Sept. I had 118,900 miles on my car. Never had a major problem with this car either. I live in my car and drive for a living.

I am driving les as I have gotten older, however the comfort of this van is just great. I have had no problems, and the mileage is superior. When I first get in the van I know I am not going to have any operating problems. And I cant wait to start the engine and take off to do errands or visit friends. This my second new van and Chrysler has a winner. In the summer, plenty of air conditioning and lots of heat in the winter. The nice thing is, passengers can enjoy these features when they are in the back seat.
